All students are urged to cooperate in maintaining the University facilities in neat, working order by using them carefully, not littering, and by treating the University equipment as respectfully as they would treat their own. The entire University community suffers from destruction of its property. It is hoped that situations of this sort will not occur, but students should be aware of the possibility of student conduct sanctions in the event cases arise. The cost of repairing or replacing damaged buildings, apparatus, furniture, or other property of the University will be charged to the student or students known to be immediately involved. If the person(s) who caused residence hall damage are unknown, the cost of repairs may be assessed equally upon all the students of the appropriate area or residence hall.
